Privacy Policy

Light Hour is a bedside breathing-light clock. We design it to work with minimal data and without health, calendar, advertising, or social tracking integrations.

Information Light Hour May Process

• An app account token used to connect settings and subscription state across devices without asking for a login.
• App settings such as wake time, sound, theme, phrase tone, and personalization preference.
• Subscription state from StoreKit 2, including product identifier, transaction identifiers, entitlement status, and expiry date.
• Device trust signals such as Apple DeviceCheck tokens used to protect backend sync and personalization endpoints.
• Optional app interaction and phrase feedback, such as saving or reducing a phrase style, so the app can tune future quiet phrases.

Information We Do Not Request For Launch

Light Hour does not request Health data, Calendar data, Contacts, precise location, advertising identifiers, or microphone access for the launch experience. The app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or monitor sleep disorders.

How Information Is Used

Settings, subscription state, DeviceCheck trust signals, and phrase feedback are used for app functionality, fraud prevention, purchase restoration, cross-device sync, and optional product personalization. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or track you across apps and websites.

Retention

Server-side settings and subscription state are retained while the app account token remains active or as needed for support, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. In the app, Delete Synced Personalization removes server-side settings, phrase feedback, wake-plan memory, and personalization history tied to the app account token. Subscription status is preserved so App Store purchase restoration continues to work.

App Store Privacy Summary

For App Store privacy labels, Light Hour discloses limited data linked to the app account token for app functionality and personalization: user identifier, device identifier, purchase history, and product interaction. Light Hour does not use these data types for tracking.

Your Choices

You can use the core clock locally without creating an account. You can turn off optional personalization in the app, delete synced personalization data from Settings, restore purchases through Apple, view the app account token in Settings > Support, and contact us for privacy questions.
